It's funny how bread has become such a big part of my life. I initially sought to learn how to make bread as a means to improve my pizza making, but it now has become something I love to make for itself.
Getting to a good loaf of bread is both a challenging and rewarding endeavor. I think this is why I like to make bread. The process engages me and at the end gives me a product I love and appreciate and can share with others. It's no wonder that there are such passionate bakers out there.
I know it's cheesy to attach soul and meaning to bread this way, but I feel that this is true: bread for me has been a significant path on a journey, and one I hope will continue on for long.
